As Gün + Partners (“Gün + Partners”) and Gün Danışmanlık Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi (“Gün Danışmanlık”) (collectively referred to as “Gün”), we care about the privacy of private life and personal data. As the data controller, we would like to inform you about the processing of your personal data within the scope of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("the Law") and the relevant legislation.
For purposes and proce of personal data processing through the forms in other pages of our website, separate and specific privacy notices were also prepared and can be found in the respective page of our website. In addition, we have separate notices for our employees, employee candidates, interns, and visitors coming to our office.
By way of this general privacy notice, we would like to inform you about how we process personal data of our website visitors, business partners, clients and potential clients within the scope of our activities.
Which Personal Data Do We Process for Which Purposes and on Which Legal Grounds?
Visitors of Our Websites

Personal data of our clients or their representatives/officials/employees are processed within the framework of the consultancy service or litigation proceedings we carry out with our clients, for the purpose of providing services to our clients, representing our clients, establishing a proxy relationship with our clients, concluding service contracts and performing assignments given by our clients since such processing is directly related to establishment or performance of a contract (contractual necessity) in accordance with Article 5/2 (c) of the Law.
Personal data of our clients or their representatives/officials/employees are also processed to manage our business relations with our clients, to communicate with them, to inform them of legal developments and updates in a way not violate their fundamental rights and freedoms since such processing is necessary for protection of our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 5/2 (f) of the Law.
Our Business Partners
Personal data of our business partners/suppliers and their representatives/officials/employees are processed for the purposes of executing contracts and performing obligations under the relevant contracts since such processing is directly related to establishment or performance of a contract (contractual necessity) in accordance with Article 5/2 (c) of the Law. Additionally, the relevant personal data is also processed in order to manage our relations with our business partners and suppliers, to communicate and to inform them about legal developments and updates based on Article 5/2 (f) of the Law as such processing is necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests without violating their fundamental rights and freedoms.
Our Potential Clients and Stakeholders
Personal data of potential clients and their representatives/officials/employees who request an offer to receive our services, our stakeholders, scholars, colleagues and other relevant individuals whom we meet at events with or whose personal data we obtain legally from publicly available sources are processed for the purposes of contact management within the scope of the software used by Gün, to communicate with them and to inform them about legal developments, updates and events based on Article 5/2 (f) of the Law as such processing is necessary for the protection of our legitimate interests without violating their fundamental rights and freedoms.
In addition to the above sections, personal data of visitors of our website, our clients, business partners, potential clients and, stakeholders may be disclosed to the governmental authorities without your explicit consent, if requested by the official authorities in accordance with the relevant legislation and in cases where disclosure is required as per the provisions of any mandatory legislation in effect. It may also be possible to use personal data of visitors of our website, our clients, business partners, potential clients and, stakeholders to the extent necessary in relation to a legal dispute or potential disputes concerning Gün, and to share the same with courts and other authorized institutions and organizations. In this context, personal data can be processed without explicit consent pursuant to the legal grounds stipulated under Article 5/2 (ç) of the Law as such processing is mandatory for fulfillment of Gün's legal obligations and under Article 5/2 (e) as such processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of Gün's rights.
To Whom and For What Purposes Can We Disclose Your Personal Data?
In case it is necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned above with respect to the processing of your personal data, personal data you have shared with or collected by Gün may be disclosed to third party companies established in Turkey from which we receive services/support/consultancy as well as competent public institutions and organizations.
Your personal data may be disclosed to competent public bodies authorized to request your information within the framework of the Turkish legislation upon their information requests and to competent judicial authorities in case of disputes.
Our computer systems and infrastructure are held in Turkey. In principle, our operations do not require transfer of your personal data outside Turkey.

- to learn whether your personal data is processed or not, and to request information about processing thereof;
- to learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether relevant data is used in accordance with the intended purpose;
- to know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred/disclosed;
- to request for correction in cases where your personal data is processed erroneously or deficiently and when you enforce this right, to request for correction to be notified to third parties to whom your personal data is transferred;
- to request for the destruction or deletion of your personal data in the event the purposes for processing your personal data cease to exist and when you enforce this right, to request for this to be notified to third parties to whom your personal data is transferred,
- to object to the outcome of the analysis of your collected information made by automatic systems and to claim for damages in case you suffer any loss.
